We believe that education is a fundamental right for everyone and forms the basis for success or failure in life. Unfortunately, education nowadays is not of the highest quality and/or accessible for all. As such, access to quality education is a privilege. Inequality therefore will continue to increase, and the education gap is getting wider than ever. Our belief is that if access to high quality education is equal for all people in all regions of the world instead of a privilege, it becomes a huge positive driver for the development of personal lives, economy and societies.
By rethinking current structural barriers that block access to high quality education in order to lower or -even better- taking these barriers away. We analyze the roots of structural barriers and intervene at the underlying, often invisible, causes and drivers. We also look at the strengths and opportunities that are available and by reinforcing and capitalizing on these, high quality education becomes more accessible.
By better using available technologies, EduCasa was able to introduce high quality education from reputable universities from Europe to rural areas in sub-Saharan Africa. Courses that were unavailable for rural youth have become accessible for them. Another example is the introduction of an alternative currency that can only be used for investments in agriculture. Young people were enabled to focus on their agro-business and became successful agro-entrepreneurs.
When education is a privilege, EduCasa jumps in. We’ll leave when education is inclusive and access to high quality education is sustainable on the long term. Every person has talents and EduCasa thrives to allow development of this talent. Structural drivers are identified and changed, either it are financial, geographical, social or economical drivers that blocks access to high quality education for a person.
